RIJKERS has once again been rewarded for the application of its management system as well as its safety and risk policy. The company will thus receive the ISO 9001:2008 quality certificate and the SCC** certificate for safe, healthy and sustainable working methods on December 1, 2012. Two certifications we have held since 1996 and a great double achievement that makes us very proud.
Obtaining the ISO 9001:2008 certificate came after an extensive four-day audit that was recently carried out by the independent quality assurance body Kiwa. RIJKERS was tested on all modules and no shortcomings were found. The ISO certificate is valid for three years. During this period, an interim review takes place every year, during which we must be able to demonstrate that we still meet all the requirements.
SCC** certification
In addition to the ISO certificate, RIJKERS will receive the SCC** certificate on 1 December. It is a recognition for the safety and risk policy and is also valid for three years. Managing director Egbèr Smits is proud of the acknowledgment: “We think it's extremely important that everyone in our company works in a safe and healthy manner. This is supported by the SCC** certificate, but enjoyment of the work and environmental aspects are also included in the certification.
Our employees ensure that RIJKERS is able to manufacture high-quality products of stainless steel and aluminum for the industry at home and abroad. During that process, we frequently deal with aspects of the job such as safety procedures and physical exertion. Obtaining these two certificates is a confirmation of our solid policy tin both those areas.”
